Amani operates on a model inspired by the American Foster Care system, taking in street children and dedicating efforts to educate them and reunite them with their families.

With the majority of their funding sourced from Europe, Amani hosts 60-80 kids at any given time, with a system that encompasses over 500 children, including those placed in new homes or attending vocational school or University.

Moving to Moshi, TZ, the Msandaka School for the Deaf stands as one of only three schools in Tanzania catering to deaf students. Housing 85 students for 10 months each year, the school receives partial support from the government, alongside contributions from Think Kindness and private donors. Together, we’re making education accessible and impactful for the deaf community in Tanzania.

Trip Highlights

A private residence that is a block away from Amani and sits on over 3 acres with beautiful flowers, avocado tree’s and you’ll wake up to a fully home cooked breakfast.

Each trip is centered around being with the kids. You’ll have ample time to sit, play and talk with the kids at Amani Children’s Home.

Prior to each trip we’ll pre-plan volunteer activities so you can be prepared. From helping paint a mural, teach classes, planting a garden or help organize a new library.

Amani is just the hub of our outreach. Each trip we will partner with a local community organization or school to help out.

From hiking to epic waterfalls to learning how the locals make coffee, you’ll get immersed in the culture of Tanzania.

You can’t visit Africa without going on an epic Safari. We’ve partnered with the best guides to provide you a truly epic experience.

No, not in Tanzania. However, we do suggest you are up-to-date on all your current vaccines. We also recommend everyone receives a malaria prescription prior to departure.

Just let us know. We can help advise and plan the remaining part of your trip. Though we are not responsible for your stay after, we have great contacts to help you create an amazing extended vacation. We’ve had travelers stay to climb Mt. Kili, go on extended safari’s or even plan a stop in the Netherlands. If you are traveling around the world, we want to make sure you get the most out of the experience as possible!
