This is the 2nd year that Think Kindness has visited the schools in Sedona. It all started when Gloria, a super awesome lady from the Sedona KIND organization, gave us a call wanting to create a kindness movement throughout all of their schools. In 2016, we visited 4 schools. They were amazing. All the kids were full of energy, excitement and truly worked hard to accomplish the incredible task to document 5,000 acts of kindness.

This year, they wanted to go BIGGER. To do every school in the entire district. To create an even larger impact, the Sedona Rotary Club joined the campaign. Together, these two organizations are filled with caring, kind and passionate volunteers to help create a kindness movement that would sweep through their entire school district.

Think Kindness speaker, Gary Xavier, flew out to deliver his KINDNESS IS POWER assembly. Teaching students that the key to obtain ultimate POWER is to be KIND to one another. Gary’s uses his background as a Marine Corp Scout Sniper to showcase that the ultimate power is never achieved by being mean, bullying on another, but the exact opposite. . . BEING KIND.

All of the students across the entire city of Sedona were amazing. Not only did they document thousands of KIND acts, but they also collect 2,000+ pounds of food for needy children and families.Gary Xavier
