The Scientific Impact of Kindness

People under estimate the impact of a simple act of Kindness. It is truly one of the most meaningful, fulfilling and world changing life-skills. Kindness, in its nature is selfless and selfish. (because you benefit as well). But rather than just take our word for it, I wanted to provide some resources from people that are well. . . much smarter than I am.

Sesame Street Kindness Survey

Sesame Street to me brings back some of the brightest and happiest of memories of TV watching as a child. I remember big bird and the cookie monster. (he was my favorite). But I also get to see my 2.5 year old daughter go through the same experiences. (she’s an Elmo fan). However, from top-level view, Sesame Street is trying to better understand what parents feel, want and observe. They have created a survey all based around KINDNESS. As you take the survey, you can see exactly where you rate amongst all the other respondents.

SPOILER ALERT 70% of parents feel the world is unkind to their children. However, nearly 58% of teachers feel that children are disrespectful today. . . long story short, this proves why Think Kindness exists. To spread, inspire and cultivate more acts of Kindness throughout our nations youth.

Kindness Contagion

The person doing the act, the person receiving and anyone who witnesses the act. From their, Jamil states that a single act of Kindness can spread faster than a virus! So, if we want to infect the world with a worthy illness. . . KINDNESS would be it.
