National Kindness Speech Contest

A random act of kindness is contagious; it can inspire people to be great and help change lives. That’s why Nevada based non-profit, Think Kindness, has been leading the charge in motivating and cultivating kindness in communities around the world. Its recent endeavor looks to future leaders to help inspire America with the first ever ‘National Kindness Speech Contest.’ School aged students 5-18 are encouraged to write and record a two minute inspirational speech on kindness that will be watched and judged by some of the nation’s top motivational speakers. The panel will review every submission, narrowing the entries down to the top 10 participants before America votes for the contest winners.

“We wanted to give America a dose of the inspiration that we get to see every day from students across the country,” said Brian Williams of Think Kindness.

To apply, participants must fill out the entry form. From there, students must upload their final video to YouTube before submitting the final application link. Entries will be accepted Tuesday, April 10 through Tuesday, May 15, before voting opens up to America on Tuesday, May 22. The winning students will be announced on Monday, June 4 with first place receiving $2,500, second place receiving $1,000 and third place receiving $500. The prize money will fund the kindness project(s) of their choosing.
